예전에 이용했던 액상 회사에서 아래와 같은 메일이 왔네요...

영어가 짧아서 전달이 부족할 수 있겠지만 FDA에서 3월 15일에 발표한 새로운 정책안이 있는데 내용 중 액상종류와 니코틴에 대한 제한을 두는 것이 포함되었나 봅니다.... ㅠㅠ

요점은 1mg 의 니코틴과 멘솔로 제한되는 전자담배 시장을 상상해 보라는데...... 상상 하기도 싫으네요...

이제 1mg의 제한적인 플레이버의 액상만 살수 있다면 미국액상에 대한 매리트가 현저히 줄어들지 않을까 싶네요...
점점 베이퍼들의 목을 조여오는게 비단 우리나라 뿐만은 아니구나 싶기도 하구요...

이래저래 참 베이퍼로 살기 힘드네요.

On March 15, the FDA released a draft for modifications to their future policy on the e-cigarette industry. If you're into legalese you can read the actual document here. ( *warning* .pdf download)

In short, the FDA is basically proposing the following:
Limits on flavors, other than tobacco and Menthol
Proposed limits on the amount of nicotine in vapes/ejuices
Rolling back the PTMA deadline* by 1 year to 2021
Needless to say, this will be devastating to our industry. Your industry. Imagine a world where everyone is limited to 1mg tobacco or menthol.

Voice your opinion here. Go to the upper right-hand section of the page and click on the ‘comment now’ button. Let the FDA know why flavors are important to you, and why heavy-handed regulations will destroy the industry. Tell them your story. If you were able to quit traditional cigarettes, let them know! Tell them to get rid of the PTMA requirement. Do not think that your comments don't matter, or that someone else will do it. The deadline for public comments ends on April 15th.
